The Nets shared an injury update James Harden ahead of Game 2 against the Bucks.
Brooklyn announced Sunday that Harden, who exited Saturday's 115-107 Game 1 win over Milwaukee, was diagnosed with right hamstring tightness.
While his status for the rest of the seven-game series between the Nets and Bucks in the Eastern Conference Semifinals is unknown, he is out for Monday's 7:30 p.m. tip-off at Barclays Center.
Harden played 43 seconds in Game 1, grabbing one rebound. Head coach Steve Nash called a timeout at the first quarter's 11:17 mark to remove Harden from action.
"We've had a lot thrown at us this year, so were -- in a sense -- well-trained for this event, but you never want to see that in someone like James who's such an important player and such an incredible player and cares so much," Nash said. "I'm heartbroken for him. I don't know what's going to happen. I don't know if he's playing next game, if he's out -- I have no idea. But heartbroken for him that he just had to miss the night. I mean, this guy was so ready and excited to play tonight. And you know the preparation he puts in, you know how much he cares about the game and how much he cares about his team. So you never want to see that, when someone gives everything they have towards this."
In a five-game first-round series win over the Boston Celtics, Harden averaged 27.8 points on 55.6% shooting, adding 10.6 assists and 7.2 rebounds through 36.5 minutes.
