Mets outfielder Starling Marte kept his hot stretch at the plate going for Leones del Escogido in Sunday's LIDOM game against Tigres del Licey, going 2-for-5 in the team's 8-5 win.
Marte reached first in the sixth inning on an error, which allowed a run to score, and then stole second base. He went on to single to left field in the eighth inning to get on base for a second time.
The 35-year-old has now recorded five hits over his last two Winter League games after going 3-for-5 on Saturday against Gigantes del Cibao.
