The Rangers have announced the new additions to Mike Sullivan’s coaching staff.

New York is bringing back a familiar face in former head coach David Quinn as an assistant.

The Blueshirts took a chance on Quinn back in 2018-19 after his success at Boston University, but he was quickly let go after failing to make the postseason in two of his three seasons at the helm.

The 57-year-old went on to serve as the head coach in San Jose for two seasons, but after failing mightily there, he was let go again and joined Sullivan as an assistant in Pittsburgh last year.

He will be joined by Joe Sacco and Ty Hennes on the staff.

Sacco heads to the Garden after an 11-year run with the Boston Bruins that began as an assistant during the 2014-15 season.

He survived a pair of coaching changes and finally received his shot as the interim head man following Jim Montgomery’s firing this season -- coaching them to a 25-30-7 record down the stretch.

He also had a four-year run behind the bench for the Colorado Avalanche, and led Team USA during the 2013 World Championship.

Hennes is the youngest and least experienced member of this trio -- but Sullivan has plenty of familiarity with him, as he came up in the Penguins organization and served as an assistant with him the past two seasons.

This group will be tasked with helping turn things around for the Blueshirts.
