Sixty-one years after Roger Maris hit home run No, 61, Aaron Judge has done the same.

The Yankee star's 61st home run of the season came in the top of the seventh of Tuesday’s game in Toronto, a two-run shot off lefty Tim Mayza in the top of the seventh inning, breaking a tie and putting the Yankees up 5-3.

With one more homer, Judge will become the single-season American League home run king, and many around the game would consider Judge's mark as the all-time MLB record, as the only players ahead of him (Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire, and Sammy Sosa) were all linked to baseball's steroid era.

With seven games remaining on the schedule, Judge still has plenty of time to go deep.

Set to be a free agent at the end of the season, Judge has compiled a historically amazing season. While the power has been obvious, Judge is also in contention for the AL Triple Crown, which would make him the first player to accomplish that since Detroit's Miguel Cabrera in 2012.
