A pair of Yankees were named Gold Glove finalists Thursday evening, Rawlings announced. 3B Gio Urshela and RF Clint Frazier made the cut.

Urshela joins the Chicago White Sox' Yoan Moncada and Texas Rangers' Isiah Kiner-Falefa as the three players going for the Glove at 3B in the American League. Frazier faces the Rangers' Joey Gallo and Baltimore Orioles' Anthony Santander among a trio going for the AL's RF honor.

Urshela appeared in 43 of 60 possible games this season for New York and made a number of big plays for the Yankees while out at third base.

In 121 defensive chances this year, Urshela made 34 putouts, 86 assists and had just one error for a99.2 fielding percentage on the season. He also turned 10 double plays over the course of his 357.2 innings out on the field.

At the plate, Urshela was also one of the better hitters this season, slashing .298/.368/.490 with six home runs and 30 RBI.

Frazier spent 280 innings as an outfielder this season for the Yankees, while also finding himself at DH and back at the team's alternate site.

Most of his outfield work came in right field, where he spent 28 games/216 innings.

Frazier had 53 defensive chances in right field and was nearly perfect on all of them, putting out 51 of those chances, assisting on another and fielding just one error on the year for a 98.4 fielding percentage.

He made an additional 11 putouts on 11 chances as a left fielder, and slashed .267/.394/.511 at the plate with eight homers and six RBI.

With the many questions the Yankees have had the last couple of seasons on what to do with their crowded outfield, Frazier sure made the issue tougher on the team, with Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, Brett Gardner and Aaron Hicks also fighting for playing time.
