Despite the loss, the Jets defense had a solid outing at MetLife Stadium on Sunday against the Bills. But they didn't leave the game unscathed.

C.J. Mosley and rookie Quinnen Williams had to leave the game early, with groin and ankle injuries respectively.

Mosley was having a great game in his Jets debut, recording a pick-six to get them on the board early. He also recovered a botched snap by the Bills to tally yet another turnover. But in the second half, he stayed on the sideline as he didn't want to aggravate his injury any further.

Mosley, who collected four tackles as well, was a clear loss for this defense. Frankie Luvu and rookie Blake Cashman had to come in with the next-man-up mentality, but Mosley's presence in the middle was missed.

"C.J. is a tremendous player," Trumaine Johnson said. "You seen it: hands on the ball, pick-six. He's a leader of our team defense. But we always preach next man up."

Williams, on the other hand, saw very limited time in his debut. He was seen walking out of MetLife Stadium in a walking boot. Williams didn't collect a stat in this one.

While the severity of the injuries aren't yet known, it would be a shame if either or these impact players were to miss some time. Mosley, as Johnson mentioned, is a captain on that defense and showcased why in just one half. And Williams is expected to be a force up the middle as well.
