Knicks center Mitchell Robinson has a very valid question: Is he the new record holder for highest field-goal percentage in NBA history?
While the NBA is working hard to figure out how to resume play once it is safe to do, the Knicks still hold a 21-45 record and sit as a 12 seed in the Eastern Conference. Though games were obviously left on their schedule, a revised NBA season could just jump right into playoffs.
If that's the case, Robinson would have ended his sophomore campaign with a 74.2 field goal percentage after making 253 of his 341 field goal attempts.

That number, if it stays that way and becomes official, would top Wilt Chamberlain's 72.7 percent from the field during the 1972-73 season. Former Knick DeAndre Jordan came close in the 2016-17 season when he was with the Clippers, but to no avail.
Robinson's 7-foot frame and long reach allows him to elevate easily over his opponents when he's by the rim, and that has led to alley-oop after alley-oop on pick-and-rolls, or just transition buckets. And with the Knicks wanting him to remain around the rim because he's so effective down there, he never has to take any jumpers.
In his rookie year, he shot 69.4 percentage from the field while coming second in the league in blocks at 2.4 per game.
Whether he gets the record or not, Robinson remains a budding star at The Garden, and the Knicks should be happy he's seeing easy points down low each night.
