The Hawks paid a visit to the Knicks on Tuesday night in what was their only visit to New York City this season, which also made it Vince Carter's final time playing at Madison Square Garden.
Carter, who is in the midst of his 22nd and final season in the NBA, played 24 minutes off the bench for the Hawks and used his time on the floor well, hitting 5-of-9 shots to score 15 points. But Atlanta was outmatched from start to finish in this one and were blown out by New York 143-120.
With about 45 second left to play and the game far from in doubt, Carter was subbed out and treated to a standing ovation from the MSG crowd that has seen the veteran guard play in New York ever since his rookie season.

The former Raptor made his MSG debut back on Feb 16, 1999, when he faced the likes of Patrick Ewing, Allan Houston, Chris Childs, Larry Johnson and Marcus Camby. The Knicks beat the Raptors 95-85.
