Pete Alonso may have a future in script writing.
Earlier this week, ESPN released a video showing Mets highlights from the 2019 season narrated by Alonso. During the piece, the Mets slugger reads an impassionated note that he had written and shared with fans on April 3.
And Alonso likes the results:
"Thank you so much to @SportsCenter for putting this together. I can't believe how well the note came to life in this piece! #LFGM" he tweeted Saturday morning.
Alonso had penned the letter to describe how much he misses the game and to promise fans the Mets will play their hearts out. "I can't wait to hear y'all cheer your lungs out! Shake the damn stadium!"
