Yankees manager Aaron Boone called the 9-6 win in Game 3 of the ALDS an "awesome team win" but it would not have been possible without an "MVP-type performance" from Aaron Judge. The captain's three-run homer in the fourth inning tied the game at six and he followed that up with a diving catch in the fifth to save a run. Boone called Judge "as beloved a player as I've been around by his teammates."

Despite being down 6-1, Aaron Judge and his teammate still felt the energy and were "hyped up." Judge then proceeded to lead a 9-6 comeback win that got the Yankees back in the ALDS. Judge lined a dramatic three-run HR to even things up at 6-6, then made a diving grab to keep the game tied. Judge: "Just trying to do my job, what I've done all year."
